Phthalates (ortho-phthalaldehyde) is a pharmaceutical intermediate that has been widely used in alkaloids, fluorescent histamine determination and pharmaceutical testing. The finished product is a pale yellow needle crystal, soluble in water, alcohol, ether and other organic solvents, no bad odor, chemical properties stable.
