For example β-brominated benzene can be used to prepare Prenste intermediate 4-(4-phenybutyl) benzoic acid. Prenst, an anti-asthma drug, was first developed by Japan's Ono Corporation and launched in Japan in 1995 and was found to treat allergic rhinitis in 1999. Prenste is a white triene C4/D4 receptor antagonist (lTRAs), very low toxicity, it can selectively inhibit the activity of airway smooth muscle white triene polysurgen, almost no effect on peanut tetraoleic acid metabolism enzyme, while acetylcholine, 5-serotonin and other antagonistic effects, lTC4, lTD4, lTE4 and so on have significant inhibition.
